How much can be loaded onto a gift card?

Any amount between $5 and $1,000. Cards can be printed with set amounts on card or without a value

How do customers check card’s available balance and transaction history?

They can check their card’s available balance or view purchases using at any time by visiting this www.gift-cards.com.au or by phoning 1300 739 889 or through a supplied link to your own website. Enquiries to the web site are free.

What happens after expiry of the card?

Once gift cards are loaded they must be used within 12 months, any balance will be forfeited

How many times can they use their gift card?

Gift Cards are a load once and redeem many times - up to the loaded value . Note: a $2.00  Eftpos fee is payable by card holder for each gift card transaction. 

Are the funds loaded on the gift cards safe?
 

e-card gift cards are issued by EMerchants. EMerchants is the holder of an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), as required by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), that permits a company to deal in the financial services business of non-cash payment products. EMerchant's licence and provisions can be viewed by following this link to the ASIC website: (AFS Licence number 259689  Card funds are held at Westpac Bank. This account is administered by Indue Limited – a commercial authorised deposit taking institution. Emerchants has no access to this account.

What is involved with training my staff?

Our gift cards are simply another Eftpos transaction. Its just a matter of taking money for the gift card then using the Eftpos terminal to refund that amount onto the gift card.

Do you have point of sale material?

Yes we can provide gift card holders and gift card stands (see our current price list).

How do you track a closed loop program?

To track a close loop program we send out a merchant card to each merchant along with instructions of the procedure required. When completed, the procedure will then send the correct data back to us, allowing the terminals to be locked. The procedure is of a simple nature and will only take moments.

How do I balance between stores?

The money is transferred to the card – this means that your other stores can receive the gift card and process as a normal sale without you having to reconcile between stores.

How can I process a purchase that is more than the value left on the card?

Have them pay the excess amount in cash or credit BEFORE using your Gift Card eg: If the gift card is for  $50.00 and they are spending $80.00 they pay the $32.00excess first - remembering to allow for the $2.00 transaction fee.
